We have it. I’m sure we do. Or actually, I’m not sure. There are a myriad of symptoms and apparently all of them can be blamed on Cedar Fever…I have never seen circles so loong under my sons eyes - Cirlces that’ll be there for days and then they’re gone. I periodically feel like sleeping……..all day. My kid complains of vague stomach ailments and headaches…My nose seems to have shut down all air flow - on one side but not the other…Where I come from allergies made you sneeze and itch. Here - not so much. I hate to start my 6 year old on medication so early if there are other remedies that work. Any thoughts of alternative weaponry for successful Cedar battles would be appreciated! Or, if not, then the best meds people know of for the young ones.
My kiddo has been sick all week with varying symptoms related to allergies, etc. Our Pediatrician recommended Buckwheat Honey for night time cough. I have also heard that eating local honey (1 tsp. in the a.m.) will help build a defense against local allergies. He takes Zyrtec on a daily basis (children’s chewables) right now or when allergies are really bad. I know he had the big dark circles here and there when he isn’t feeling all that great.
