Girl Scouts & Brownies

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. To get an overview of Girl Scouting, visit www.gsctx.org

Each Girl Scout troop creates its own meeting schedule and individualized activities. If you are interested in starting a troop or joining a troop, please contact the BW School Coordinator, Jenny Hassibi at jhassibi@gmail.com

Troops at Bryker Woods belong to the Sunnyside Service Unit, which is run by volunteers and serves nearby schools such as Casis, Matthews, Pease, St. Andrew’s, St. Austin’s and UT Elementary. The service unit coordinates troop registration requirements, financial requirements, fall product sales, cookie sales and occasional events such as World Thinking Day (http://www.girlscouts.org/en/about-girl-scouts/global/world-thinking-day.html) and a spring campout.

The Sunnyside Service Unit is one of many service units under the Girl Scouts of Central Texas Council, which is run by GS employees and is based at the Kodosky Service Center in north Austin. You can find many training and events here: http://www.gsctx.org/en/events/event-calendar.html
